Camping Opportunities

Copperhead Island is a 6-tent campground located on Lake Wylie. The campground features several amenities including:

• An outdoor shelter that can accommodate up to 80 guests
• A volleyball court, charcoal grills, horseshoe pits, restrooms, shower room, and walking trails
• Sink and Countertop prep area (unavailable during winter months)
• Fishing piers and loop trail with views of Lake Wylie

• Weekday Rates (Monday-Thursday) County Resident: $134/Non-County Resident: $210
• Weekend/Holiday Rates (Friday-Sunday) County Resident: $196/Non-County Resident: $316

McDowell Campground, located within McDowell Nature Preserve near Lake Wylie, is a 56-site campground that offers a variety of camping opportunities for individuals and families. The campground includes 33 drive up sites, 10 primitive sites and 13 RV sites.
